Overview
The Summer School took place at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh from 8 to 11 September and brought together PhD students, early-career researchers and invited speakers working at the interface of generative AI and extreme value theory, which is a key area on statistical modelling of risk. Over four lively days, we combined keynote lectures with practical sessions and informal discussion, and it was wonderful to see so much exchange across institutions and disciplines.
The School was funded by GAMEX (Una Europa), a seed funding consortium the University of Edinburgh built with University of Bologna, Zurich University, University College Dublin, and Pontificia Universidad Catolica Chile.
